The Army Command organized the funeral of Private Mohammad Radi

The Army Command and the citizens of Maaraboun – Bekaa organized the funeral of martyr soldier Mohammad Radi where crowds of citizens and military attended the rituals. Private Radi had passed away after being shot by gunmen. Following the ceremonials and decorating the martyr with the Medal of War, the Medal of the Wounded and the Medal of Military Appreciation - Bronze degree, the ritual prayers were performed over the martyr’s pious body in the village of Maaraboun and Lieutenant Colonel Rabih el-Zemmar represented Minister of National Defense Yaacoub Riyad el-Sarraf and Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun in the funeral.

Colonel el-Zemmar commended the martyr’s military values and sacrifices. “Our message has clearly revealed itself through the tax of blood that was paid by our martyr comrade yesterday and it states that the Army shall not show any leniency while dealing with perpetrators who endanger the lives of citizens and break the law. This also shows that no matter how long it may take, the perpetrators will inevitably be brought before justice where they will receive the proper punishment that they deserve, for the Army’s eyes will never neglect the path of peace and stability just as the Army will never miss out the mission of protecting the country’s border against the aggressions of the Israeli enemy and terrorism” he added.
