The Army Headquarters declares the sad demise of Colonel P.S.C Joseph Melhem

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of Colonel P.S.C Joseph Melhem who passed away on 15/4/2018 and the following excerpts offer a summary of his life and career stages:

Born on 18/6/1973 in Miyeh w Miyeh - Sidon.

Enlisted in the Army on 4/1/1993 and rose through the ranks and became Colonel starting 1/1/2018.

Received several medals and the commendation of the LAF Commander.

Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.

Married with two children.

The body of the deceased will be transported on 16/4/2018 at 9:00 from the Central Military Hospital to the hall of Saint Joseph church in Deir Dourit el-Chouf where the ritual prayers will be performed on the same day at 15:00. The cemetery of the family will serve as the final resting place of Colonel Melhem.

Condolences can be paid on 15/4/2018 in the hall of Saint John the Baptist church – Sid el-Bauchrieh, on 16/4/2018 in the hall of Saint Joseph church in Deir Dourit el-Chouf and on 17/4/2018 in the hall of Saint Takla Church – Sid el-Bauchrieh starting 10:00 until 18:00.
