Arrest of 4 Citizens within the Framework of Security Measures in Various Lebanese Regions

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution to arrest individuals disturbing public security and to combat drug trafficking, army units arrested four Lebanese citizens as follows:

• Raiding the residences of wanted individuals in Taraya – Baalbek and arresting citizen (H.H.) for shooting.
• Arresting citizens (A.Sh.) and (H.N.) at the Douris checkpoint – Baalbek for possessing a military pistol and a quantity of ammunition.
• Arresting citizen (A.D.) at the Wata Al Sahle checkpoint – Akkar for attempting to smuggle a large sum of money from Syrian territory into Lebanese territory illegally.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
