Arrest of a Citizen in the Chiyah – Hay Al Amerkan for Provoking the Army and Committing Various Crimes

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On September 1, 2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (A.Z.) in Chiyah – Hay Al Amerkan for appearing in a video on social media, directing provocations and offensive remarks toward the Lebanese Army. He was also arrested for shooting and provoking clashes in the south, and military firearms were seized in his possession.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
