Arrest of individuals and seizing of an amount of diesel and gas

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of border control and smuggling prevention operations, the army units deployed in Bekaa were able to arrest a Lebanese and two Syrians while they were trying to smuggle an amount of diesel and gas into Syrian territory.
The army units seized around 35500 liters of diesel and around 260 liters of gas, 2 cisterns used in transport operations and a car used by the smugglers.
The seized items were handed over and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judiciary authorities.
