Arrest of Nader el-Sheikh

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following the spread of a video over a social media platform where one Nader el-Sheikh claimed that Mohammad Srour was acquiring weapons permits in cooperation with an LAF senior officer, an Intelligence Directorate unit arrested El-Sheikh. Primary investigation showed that el-Sheikh has family disputes with Srour and confessed that the claims he mentioned concerning the senior officer were false. An unlicensed military weapon belonging to el-Sheikh was confiscated during the arrest.
