Arresting Jamal el Houjeiry, AKA “Jamal Hallis” in Ersal

The Army Command – Directorate of orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of monitoring and follow up, a force from the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Tabaq el Ward - Ersal Jamal Hussein el Houjeiry, AKA “Jamal Hallis” for participating along with armed groups and terrorist organization in assaulting LAF and ISF posts and units during the Ersal battle in 2014. During the arrest operation, armed individuals opened fire towards the force, leading to the light injury of a soldier and the material damage of 2 military vehicles.

Investigation was carried out with the arrested individual under the supervision of the relevant authorities. The LAF continue to track down the shooters in order to arrest them and turn them in to the relevant authorities.
