The Chief of Staff inspected the 6th Infantry Brigade and the 4th Land Border Regiment

The Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak this morning inspected the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Brigade and the 4th Land Border Regiment in Mohammad Makki Barrack – Baalbek where he was informed of their training activities and their operational and security missions, particularly pursuing security violators and all kinds of crime committers. Afterwards, Major General Mallak inspected the advanced posts of the 4th land border regiment in Baalbek at the Lebanese – Syrian borders. Major General Mallak was informed of the life affairs of the troops as well as the work of the surveillance tours, equipment and modern techniques used for border control.

The chief of Staff commended the efforts of the troops as well as their endurance in the hard climate conditions with limited logistic possibilities in order to perform their assigned mission with high competence. Major General Mallak stressed that priority would be given to the border control mission from infiltration and smuggling acts from both sides, as they directly have an impact on the security of border villages as well as stability inside the country in general and contribute to protecting economic interests of the state. Major General Mallak confirmed that any assault against army troops or citizens will be firmly tackled and perpetrators will not be safe from the army and its will to arrest them and turn them in.
