Citizen arrested in Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali –Hermel

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 03/12/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (M.Z.) in Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali –Hermel while trying to flee to the Syrian territories, for heading a gang that committed fraud and deception against Lebanese. He had been tricking his victims into believing that he would provide them with false passports and take them to the airport in exchange for sums of money. An amount of narcotics and hashish were seized in his possession.

The investigation began with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
