Clarification regarding what some media outlets and news websites are circulating about one of the complexes in the Hermel area

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Some media outlets and news websites have circulated information about sheltering wanted individuals and the presence of weapons inside one of the complexes in the Hermel area.

The Army Command clarifies that military units carry out raids on complexes and camps on a periodic basis, within the framework of security measures aimed at pursuing criminals, individuals disrupting security, and persons who enter Lebanese territory illegally. It should be noted that the raid conducted on 6 January 2026 in the Hermel area did not result in any arrests or seizures.
