Closing ceremony of the military sports season for the year 2016

Under the patronage of LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi, represented by the Commander in charge of the higher Center for military sports Brigadier General George el Hed, the closing ceremony of the military sports season for the year 2016 was held in the Military Sports Complex of General Emile Lahoud with the presence of Mr. Mhammad Oweidat, representative of the minister of Youth and Sports Mohammad Fneich as well as a number of members from the Lebanese Olympic committee, presidents of clubs and national sports leagues, media figures, officers and soldiers from different Army units experts in sports games.

Moreover, Brigadier General Hed delivered a speech in which he thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as national leagues and clubs and everyone who cooperated with the Army in order to make the sports season for the year 2016 a success. Furthermore, a presentation of the accomplishments of the Army during the past year was held, notably the fact that the Army teams and sportsmen had won 7 medals in regional and international competitions and 40 medals in national competitions and the expected activities in the next stage were showcased as well.

At the end of the ceremony, trophies and medals were presented to the military experts and a cocktail reception was held for the occasion.
