Denial of Newspaper Report on Alleged Meeting Between an Army Officer and an Israeli Army Officer in the United States of America
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
A local newspaper published an article containing inaccurate information alleging a meeting between Lebanese and Israeli officers in the United States of America.
The Army Command categorically denies these claims and affirms that the information stated in the article is entirely false and has no factual basis. It further clarifies that all meetings are conducted strictly within the approved legal and official frameworks, in a manner that safeguards Lebanon’s sovereignty and its supreme national interest.
The Army Command calls on media outlets to exercise accuracy and responsibility when addressing matters related to the military institution, and to refrain from publishing fabricated information during this sensitive period.
