Events Of The Third Day Of General Aoun’s Visit To Australia

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun moved along with the accompanying delegation from Canberra to Sydney where the Lebanese counsel Charbel Maakaroun held a lunch in his honor in the Lebanese consulate in Australia with the presence of Lebanese Ambassador Miled Raad and head of the legislative council Jean Ajaqa and deputies Thomas Georges, Chawkat Meselmani and Jihad Dib, all of Lebanese origin, in addition to figures from the Lebanese diaspora.

Counsel Maakaroun delivered a welcoming speech in which he commended the role of the LAF, then General Aoun delivered a speech in which he extended his appreciation to the Lebanese Diaspora for the generous reception. He stated that people’s affection is the army’s asset and mentioned that the qualitative support offered by the Lebanese to the LAF during the “dawn of the outskirts: battle was a major factor in accomplishing victory, as the financial aid contributed to buying UTV vehicles that were used on the battlefield.
