The funeral of the recruit with extended services martyr, Mahmoud Walid Ibrahim
The Army Command and the citizens of Beit Younis - Akkar held the funeral of the recruit with extended services martyr, Mahmoud Walid Ibrahim, who was martyred on 2/19/2023 after being wounded during the execution of a mission, and due to the explosion of an old ammunition.
The funeral began in front of Our Lady of Maounat Hospital - Jbeil, where the necessary honoring ceremonies took place, and the Medals of War, Wounded, and Bronze Military Valour were awarded to him. Then the body was transported to his hometown, Beit Younes, where the memorial ceremony was held in the presence of Colonel P.S.C. Gaby Kattour, representing the Minister of National Defense, Maurice Selim and the Lebanese army Commander in chief, General Joseph Aoun. Colonel Kattour delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he said: “You will remain in our hearts and consciences. We salute your pure soul flying in the world of eternity today and every day. On behalf of the Lebanese Army Commander in chief, General Joseph Aoun, we extend our deepest condolences to your family, friends and loved ones, and may you have a good impact on the glorious history of your army and on the hearts of your citizens.”
