Graduation ceremony of reconnaissance course in Hanoush shooting field
A graduation ceremony was held this morning in Hanoush shooting field for troops from different army corps and units, after they successfully carried out a “special reconnaissance” course that was funded by the Canadian State and overseen by a British training team in the Special Forces School. The ceremony was attended by the Inspector General Major General P.S.C Milad Ishaq, representing the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief, General Joseph Aoun, the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mrs. Chantal CHASTENAY, the Canadian Military Attaché in Lebanon, Lieutenant Colonel CHRETIEN Gino, and a number of officers.
General Major General P.S.C Ishaq delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he said: “The current stage is one of the harshest and most dangerous stages in the history of our country. What concerns us as a military institution is maintaining civil peace, confronting the threats of the Israeli enemy, and thwart terrorist plots aiming for our unity. The military institution is moving forward in assuming its national responsibilities, and devoting its utmost energies to complete its duties to the fullest.”
The Canadian Ambassador also delivered a speech in which she praised the high professionalism of the Lebanese Army, and commended the efforts made by the British training team, and the role played by female military personnel in the Lebanese Army.
In the end, the graduating units performed a live fire tactical drill.
