Graduation Ceremony of Trained Soldiers and Recruits with Extended Service
A graduation ceremony was held before noon today at the headquarters of the Sixth Intervention Regiment in Riyaq for trained soldiers and recruits with extended services, after they had completed their prescribed training period. The ceremony was presided over by the Regiment Commander, representing the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, and was attended by a number of officers.
During the ceremony, Brigadier General PSC David Bashaalani, Regiment Commander, delivered a speech in which he said:
“Your joining the military institution in these sensitive circumstances that our country is experiencing is a strong indication of your national commitment and your dedication to the noble mission carried out by the Army for all Lebanese citizens. Today, by taking the oath of service, you are making a clear declaration that you are part of the institution on which the Lebanese people rely to safeguard their security and preserve their society."
The ceremony concluded with a military parade in which the graduating personnel took part.
