Graduation of female troops in the barrack of Shukri Ghanem – Fiyadieh

On this date, the barrack of Shukri Ghanem hosted the graduation of female troops following the completion of the determined training period. Brigadier General P.S.C Afif Saleh, Commander of Mount Lebanon region headed the ceremony and represented the LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun. Trainers, senior officers and the relatives of the graduates also attended the ceremony. Brigadier General delivered a speech on the occasion where he said “by joining the list of honor, sacrifice and loyalty, a new blood enriches the military institution with the pulse of youth, determination and zealousness. You confirm the strong belief in humanitarian principles and the commitment to enforce the law and establishing justice and equality in the Lebanese community. The Army has had in the past several pioneering experiences in the frame of enlisting female troops on all the levels. The female troops have achieved great results particularly in the field of logistic support and medical healthcare. Therefore, I call upon you today to be more confident and to strive to develop your capabilities continuously. You are asked to confront difficulties with a sense of responsibility, patience and determination in order to reach success and so that the Army and the country has pride in your presence.
