The handover ceremony of vehicles and equipment for mountain regions, offered as a donation by the Canadian authorities to the LAF was held today at the Ski School – Cedars. The ceremony was attended by the deputy Chief of Staff for equipment, Brigadier General P.S.C Miled Isaac, representing the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun in addition to the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Ms. Emmanuelle Lamoureux as several officers from the LAF and the Canadian army. Ambassador Lamoureux delivered a speech on the occasion in which she confirmed the importance of cooperation between both armies and expressed the commitment of her country to carry on with the military aid offered to the LAF. Brigadier General P.S.C Isaac delivered a letter of appreciation on the occasion in which he thanked the Canadian authorities for their constant support and confirmed that these initiatives are a clear indicator that the Canadian authorities are aware of the role of the LAF in preserving local and regional stability and its role in facing terrorism.
In the end, Brigadier General P.S.C Isaac recited a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Armed Forces Commander and delivered it to the Canadian Ambassador and offered her the LAF commemorative shield as a token of appreciation for the Canadian authorities in supporting the LAF.
