LAF personnel responded in kind to a civilian who opened fire in Tripoli

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On June 4, 2025, a civilian (H.M.), wanted for the crimes of shooting and extortion, opened fire at another civilian near Al Maloula checkpoint in Tripoli, which is operated by the LAF, without managing to hit him, thus endangering the lives of LAF personnel and civilians. The soldiers responded in kind to the source of the gunfire, resulting in the shooter sustaining a minor injury, after which he was transferred to a hospital for treatment. 
An investigation into the incident has begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
