The martyrdom of an officer and two soldiers, and the injury of several citizens as a result of an ammunition explosion in Braykeh – Nabatieh

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
 On April 20, 2025, an officer and two soldiers in the army were martyred, and several citizens were injured as a result of an ammunition explosion while being transported inside a military vehicle, in Braykeh – Nabatieh. The specialized army units are conducting the necessary investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Below is a brief overview of the lives of the fallen soldiers:

Martyr Second Lieutenant Mahmoud Ahmad Zaytoun
•    Born on 22/2/1992 in Akkar Al Atika – Akkar.
•    Enlisted in the army as a cadet on 21/1/2013, and was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant as of 1/11/2024.
•    Awarded various medals and received several commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
•    Married, with no children.\

First Adjutant Martyr Ali Ibrahim Ahmed
•    Born on 19/4/1987 in Hazarta – Zahle.
•    Enlisted in the army as a cadet on 27/10/2008.
•    Awarded various medals and received several commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
•    Married, with 3 children.

Sergeant First Class Martyr Jawdat Salim Noura
•    Born on 8/10/1991 in Blat – Marjayoun.
•    Enlisted in the army as a recruit starting on 13/9/2014.
•    Awarded various medals and received several commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
•    Single.
