Meeting Of The Committee Of The American – British- Canadian Aid Program For Land Border Defense

The LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun headed the meeting of the higher supervision committee of the American – British- Canadian aid program for land border defense in the presence of the United States Ambassador to Lebanon Ms. Elizabeth Richard, the ambassador of the United Kingdom Mr. Chris Rampling and the Canadian Ambassador Emmanuelle Lamoureux, accompanied by the members of the joint work team.

Richard and Rampling commended the competence of the LAF in boosting the capabilities of the border protection regiments and expressed their continuous support to the LAF, in order to defend Lebanon and preserve the stability and safety of its land. Moreover, Lamoureux expressed her pride and content in the contributing to making this project a success.

General Aoun confirmed the ongoing program, depending the capability of officers and soldiers in operating any equipment or new weapon with professionalism as well as the commitment of friend states to offering qualitative support to the LAF in addition to the common goals, mainly fighting terrorism.
