Meetings of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the United Kingdom Minister of State for Security at the Home Office Mr. Ben Wallace who headed an accompanying delegation in the presence of the United Kingdom Ambassador Hugo Shorter and the UK Defense Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Chris Gunning. Discussions during the visit focused on the means to further boost security cooperation between the armies of both countries and the British Aid Program dedicated to the Lebanese Army. General Aoun also received the Roman Orthodox Archbishop of Zahle Antonios el-Souri who headed an accompanying delegation. General Aoun received later during the day a delegation of the Lebanese Association for the Advancement of Science headed by Dr. Naïm Oueini. Other meetings joined General Aoun with former Ambassador Antoine Chedid as well as councilor and political analyst Joseph Abou Fadel and discussions during these visits addressed the general situation in the country.
