Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the LAF and UOB

The Army Command in Yarzeh hosted this morning the signature of a memorandum of cooperation between the LAF and the University of Balamand UOB. The memorandum included a protocol of academic cooperation and providing facilitations to troops in active duty and retirement as well as the family members of martyr troops. The LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun signed the memorandum on behalf of the LAF while the President of UOB Professor Elias Warrak signed on behalf of the University in the presence of Army officers and a delegation of the University administration. Professor Warrak noted that this agreement reflects the productive relationship between UOB and LAF and illustrates their joint message at the service of the country.

General Aoun expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude towards the initiative made by UOB and considered that educational attainment is an essential component that distinguishes both soldiers and officers and reflects their development at the personal and professional levels.
