Mustafa el Houjeiri, a dangerous wanted individual arrested in Ersal

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In a qualitative operation, an Intelligence Directorate Force raided in Ersal the residence of Mustafa el Houjeiri, AKA “Mustafa Anis”. Houjeiri threw a hand grenade towards the mentioned force and attempted to escape, leading the troops to return fire in order to arrest him, resulting in his injury. The mentioned individual was transferred to a local hospital for treatment and several combat weapons were confiscated inside his residence.

Houjeiri had participated along with terrorist organizations in assaulting each of the LAF units during the events of Ersal in 2014 as well as the ISF patrol while attempting to arrest him earlier by throwing a hand grenade towards the mentioned patrol, leading to the injury of several troops in addition to being involved in trafficking combat weapons and narcotics as well as for several hudicial arrest warrants being issued.

Investigations were carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
