Obituary of the former minister, retired Brigadier General Panos Manjian

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns the passing of former Minister, Retired Brigadier General Panos Mongian, who passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Below is a briefing of his life:

• Born on December 3, 1952, Beirut.
• Enlisted in the LAF on November 13, 1972, and was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant on August 1, 1975. He then progressed through the ranks until reaching the rank of Brigadier General as of July 1, 2001.
• Recipient of several medals, as well as commendations from the LAF Commander on multiple occasions.
• Completed several training courses both locally and abroad.
• Married, with three children.
