The opening ceremony of the regional division of the civil – military cooperation directorate in Riyak Airbase

The opening ceremony of the regional division of the military – civil cooperation directorate was held in Riyak Airbase, after being established with the financing of the Kingdom of Holland in the frame of the civil – military cooperation program.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General P.S.C Elie Mardini representing the Armed Forces Commander as well as the Ambassador of Holland Mr. Han Mauruts Schaapveld and official, spiritual and social figures. After the Chargé d’Affaires of the CIMIC Directorate Brigadier General P.S.C Elie Abi Rached delivered a welcoming speech, Brigadier General Mardini delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to the Dutch authorities for their repeated initiatives in supporting the CIMIC program, confirming the interest of the military institution in the developmental situation of the Bekaa as well as its loyalty to its villagers who have provided the army with the elite of its youth. Moreover, ambassador Schaapveld delivered a speech in which he confirmed that his country will continue to provide support to Lebanon and its army as well as its active participation in the mentioned program.
