Prime Minister Places a Wreath at the Monument of Army Martyrs

On the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Najib Mikati placed a wreath at the Monument of Army Martyrs at the Ministry of National Defense, in honor of their souls, in the presence of Minister of National Defense Maurice Slim and LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun.

The LAF Commander also received President Mikati in his office, where they discussed the general situation in the country amid the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and the enhancement of the army's role, particularly in the south.

President Mikati praised the military’s sacrifices, commending the role of the military institution in preserving national unity and civil peace. He emphasized that the army provides martyrs in defense of the homeland, its sovereignty, and independence, reinforced by the trust of the Lebanese people from various affiliations.
