Raid on the Homes of Wanted Individuals in Brital – Bekaa, Arrest of One Citizen and Three Syrians

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
After a monitoring and investigation operation carried out by the Intelligence Directorate, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in Brital – Bekaa. They arrested the citizen (M.S.) who was hiding in a secret hideout within his residence. He was involved, along with others, in forming a gang that operates in drug trafficking and counterfeiting. He participated in several operations to lure citizens under the pretext of selling them frozen funds to rob or kidnap them. A quantity of military weapons and ammunition, as well as a large amount of counterfeit currency, were seized in his possession. The Intelligence Directorate had previously seized money counterfeiting machines in the arrested individual’s home.
During the raid, the Syrians (R.H.), (A.S.), and (M.S.) were also arrested inside the residence of one of the wanted individuals. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
