Raid Operation, Seizure of a Large Quantity of Military Weapons and Ammunition and Arrest of Two Individuals in Kamid El Loz and Rashaya – Bekaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution to combat arms-smuggling operations, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided several residences in the areas of Kamid El Loz and Rashaya – Bekaa. The patrol arrested a Lebanese citizen (B.S.) and a Syrian national (AA.D.) for forming, along with others, a gang involved in the trafficking of military weapons. A large quantity of such weapons was seized, in addition to military ammunition and equipment.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations were initiated with the two arrestees, and follow-up efforts are underway to arrest the remaining individuals involved.
