The reception of 20 equipped ambulance vehicles, offered as a gift from the Dutch authorities to the LAF

The reception ceremony of 20 equipped ambulance vehicles offered as a gift from the Dutch authorities to the LAF was held at the headquarters of the Logistical brigade in Kfarshima. The ceremony was attended by the deputy Chief of Staff for equipment Brigadier General P.S.C Jean Farah, representing the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, and the chargé d’Affaires of the Dutch embassy in Lebanon Mr. Han Mauruts Schaapveld as well as members from the embassy and several officers.
Mr. Schaapveld delivered a speech on the occasion in which he stated that offering these vehicles that have advanced medical equipment confirms the importance of partnership between both friend countries. Mr. Schaapveld also commended the extraordinary efforts of the LAF and expressed his country’s commitment to continue offering military aid to the LAF in a way to boost its capabilities in order to protect Lebanon and defend its sovereignty.
At the end, Brigadier General P.S.C Farah recited an appreciation letter on behalf of the LAF Commander and delivered it to Mr. Schaapveld and presented him with the army’s commemorative shield in appreciation of the efforts exerted by the Dutch authorities in supporting the LAF.
