Sad demise of retired Brigadier General Mohamad Mortada

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Mohamad Mortada who passed away on 25/04/2021.

The following information presents a brief summary of his life and military career:

• Born on 27/04/1959 in Tamnine el Tahta – Baalbek.
• Enlisted in the Army on 02/01/1982 and rose through the ranks, starting as a lieutenant on 01/08/1986 and reached the rank of Brigadier General as of 26/04/2015.
• Received several medals and decorations as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander in chief several times.
• Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with 4 children.

The body of the deceased will be transported from the American University of Beirut Medical Center – Beirut on 25/04/2021 at 13:30 to his residence in Tamnine el Tahta – Baalbek, where the funeral will be held on the same date at 17:30 and the burial will take place at the town’s cemetery.
