Sad demise of retired Brigadier General P.S.C Jihad Chahine

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Pilot Brigadier General P.S.C Jihad Chahine who passed away on 27/10/2021.
The following information presents a brief summary of his life and military career:
-    Born on 15/12/1944 in Baabda.
-    Enlisted in the Army on 1/10/1968 and rose through the ranks, starting as a lieutenant on 01/08/1971 and reached the rank of Brigadier General as of 01/01/1998.
-    Received several medals and decorations as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander in chief several times.
-    Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
-    Married with 2 children.
The body of the deceased will be transported from Central Military Hospital on 29/10/2021 at 8:30 to Saint Maroun -Aandqet where the funeral will be held on the same day at 15.00 and the burial will take place in the aforementioned church.
