Sad demise of Retired Brigadier General Robert Mahfouz

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Robert Mahfouz who passed away on 11/04/2022.

The following information presents a brief summary of his life and military career:

• Born on 01/07/1936 in Halat – Byblos.
• Enlisted in the Army on 01/10/1956 and rose through the ranks, starting as a lieutenant on 18/09/1959 and reached the rank of Brigadier General as of 01/01/1987.
• Received several medals and decorations as well as commendations and congratulations of the Lebanese Army Commander in chief several times.
•  Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with 3 children.

The funeral was held on 12/04/2022 at 15:30 in Our Lady of Doueir Church – Fidar, Byblos.
