Signature of a cooperation agreement between LAF and AUB

LAF Headquarters hosted this morning the signature of a cooperation agreement between LAF and the American University of Beirut AUB. The cooperation agreement included special arrangements for the troops and their family members. LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun attended the signature ceremony as well as AUB President Dr. Fadlo Khoury who headed a delegation from the university.

Dr. Khoury stressed that the university praises this chance of cooperation with LAF and commended their sacrifices as a major pillar of state and society.

In his turn, General Aoun expressed his gratitude to Dr. Fadlo for this gesture and noted that AUB is one of the most prestigious universities that graduated several individuals who left their mark in Lebanon and the world.

General Aoun also noted that LAF encourages all the troops to continue their education to broaden their intellectual horizon and logical analysis in a way that helps them in taking the appropriate decisions. He added that education is an important tool that helps in raising the level of the troops’ performance as well as their military and professional competences.
