Two individuals arrested in Ghobeiry - the southern suburbs.

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by a force of the army, raided the residences of citizens (N.B.) and (AA.M) in Al-Ghobeiri - the southern suburbs and arrested them, because the former formed a gang of robbery by force of arms and trading in weapons and ammunition with the participation of others.  The arrestees participated in the events in Tayouneh on 14/10/2021, and opened fire at different times, the last of which was on New Year’s Eve, caused clashes, shot at people and wounded them. They also took narcotics, and the latter incited sectarian strife, assaulted peaceful demonstrators, provoked riots and cut off roads through the formation of motorcycle groups. A quantity of ammunition, military equipment and narcotics was seized from the latter residence.

The arrestees and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
