Visitors of General Aoun

The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the Military Adviser to the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations for Peace Operations General Birame DIOP accompanied by the Commander of the UNIFIL Major General Aroldo Lazaro at the head of a delegation.
They discussed the general situation in the southern border region and the relations of cooperation  between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army.
Also, General Aoun seperately received the following visitors:
The UN Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Ms. Joanna Wronecka, with an accompanying delegation;
the Qatari ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sahlawi;
the former Minister of Interior Affairs and Municipalities, Retired Brigadier General Mohamed Fahmy. Discussions during these three last meetings dealt with the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
