VISITORS OF GENERAL AOUN

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarzeh a delegation from the American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL), headed by former Ambassador Edward Gabriel. Members of the delegation were briefed on the tasks undertaken by the army to maintain Lebanon's security and stability, the difficulties it is going through in light of the current crisis, and ways to assist it in overcoming it. They commended the steadfastness of the military institution and its continued professional implementation of its duties despite the challenges, stressing the need to continue supporting and cooperating with to overcome the current stage.

On the other hand, General Aoun valued the American aid to the army and its primary role in alleviating the severity of the crisis, stressing that he will continue shouldering his national responsibilities.
