VISITORS OF GENERAL AOUN

The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the commander of the Third Army at the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Patrick Frank, and they discussed ways of cooperation to enhance the capabilities of the Lebanese Army at this exceptional and challenging stage. General Frank stressed the importance of continuing the absolute support of the military institution due to its vital role in maintaining Lebanon's stability. He also received The Director General of the Tunisian Border Guards Brigadier General Hossam Gota at the head of an accompanying delegation, and they discussed ways of exchanging experiences in the field of border control. He also received the head of the mission and chief of staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation (UNTSO) General Patrick GAUCHAT, and they deliberated on the situation in Lebanon and the region.
He then received a delegation of Emirati businessmen who confirmed their support for the army with all available capabilities, and the Bishop of the Archeparchy of Fourzol, Zahle and Bekaa for Melkite Roman Catholics Ibrahim Ibrahim and they discussed various matters.
