Visitors of General Aoun

The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the Deputy Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Hon Tim Watts, accompanied by the Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Andrew BARNES, and the military attaché Colonel Ian GOOLD. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the armies of both countries. He also received The Saudi military attaché Colonel Fawaz bin Musaed Al-Mutairi, who thanked General Aoun for liberating the kidnapped Saudi citizen Mashari Turki Al-Mutairi and handed him a letter of thanks from the Chief of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwai. General Aoun also received the Commander of the Dutch Special Forces, Major General Ron SMITS, and they discussed the development of cooperation in training special forces. He then recieved the President of the Maronite League, Ambassador Khalil Karam, at the head of a delegation of members of the Association.
