Visitors of General Kahwagi

The LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi received in his office in Yarzeh the Head of the Lebanese Maronite Order Father Naamatallah el-Hachem who headed an accompanying delegation and discussions addressed general issues.
In related news, the LAF Commander received a delegation of the United States Senate armed services committee headed by Mr. Thomas Goffus and talks during the meeting tackled general issues in Lebanon and the region as well as the United States Aid Program dedicated to the Lebanese Army and the means to reinforce this assistance in light of the Lebanese Army’s basic needs. The delegation headed afterwards to the Army Command Operations Room where they received a briefing concerning the field measures taken by the Army at the eastern border as well as the combat readiness to fight terrorist organizations and ward off infiltrations and smuggling attempts.
