Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander –in- Chief
The Lebanese Army Commander–in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received in his office in Yarzeh the UN Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific in the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Khaled Khiari. The meeting discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the post-UNIFIL phase.
He also received the Commander of the Indonesian Navy, Admiral Muhammad Ali, in the presence of the Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dicky Komar, along with an accompanying delegation. The discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the armies of the two countries and the positive role of the Indonesian battalion operating within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
